  Meet the talented PrestigeDanceCo. Staff

     Owner/Director: MiKell, has trained in all styles of dance for over 20 years. She was a member of the Regional and National winning Northridge High school Drill Team where she served as Vice President. MiKell has also had intensive training in vocal lessons and has performed in many great singing/dancing groups around Utah. MiKell was a Utah Jazz Dancer (NBA) for 3 years where she has had the opportunity to work with many well trained and experienced choreographers and dancers. She started teaching dance when she was only 14 years old and has wanted to open a dance studio since. Prestige Dance Company has been around for 4 years and has improved in every way each year. MiKell's main focus as she grows her studio is giving her students the highest quality of dance instruction while strengthening each students confidence and self esteem. She has a great passion for dance and possesses a unique ability to teach her students not only dance, but a way to express their desire, talents and dreams! 

 Performance/Competition Team /Jazz/Ballet/Technique Teacher: Lexie, has been dancing since the age of three.  She has competed and performed in dance for 12 years.  She has studied ballet, jazz, hip hop, contemporary, ballroom, modern, tumbling, and cheer.  Throughout her dance career she has won numerous high point and overall awards with solo and team dances.  She has been a cheerleader for two years and served as captain of her squad.  Also, she was a member of her high school drill team, placing second at state.  Lexie also had the opportunity of being selected as a dancer on a TLC Reality show.  Lexie has an extreme passion for dance and loves having the chance to continue to teach others to dance, and hopes that dance will impact her students lives as much as it has hers. 
 Jazz/Ballet/Technique Teacher: Shaylene, has enjoyed training sense she was three years old. She has trained in ballet, jazz, contemporary, modern, hip hop, and cheer. By the age of twelve she had won National and State solo competitions.  She was a high school cheerleader for four years competing with a National Championship team.  Her senior year she was named captain of her squad and participated on her high school dance company.  She has performed and trained in many places around the country such as San Diego Chargers Stadium, The Pro Bowl, Martha Graham Academy of New York, Alvin Ailey Studio, and Broadway Dance Academy.  She has been an assistant coach for High School Cheerleading and Songleading.  Shaylene is currently the Wasatch Front Representative for Utah Dance Judges Association with experience judging studio and drill competitions.  She enjoys choreographing and watching the artistic expression of dance. She loves the world of dance and is happy to continually be a part of its growth process. 

 Tumbling Teacher: Chandler, has been tumbling since he was eight years old. He competed in tumbling for five years but now just does it for fun. Chandler was the state champ every year from 2006 to 2009, the region champ in 2009 and got fourth place in Nationals in San Jose in 2009. He was a cheerleader at Bonneville high school where his team placed first in state and fifth in the nation. Chandler loves to tumble and loves teaching his students just as much!
